Join ECC Italy for the opening of IN PROGRESS, a new exhibition series launched by the Architects Index of Modelmaking (AiM), in collaboration with Material Source Studio and the Manchester Society of Architects.

Too often, architectural exhibitions celebrate only the finished object — the polished, resolved version of a design — while the uncertainty, experimentation, and mistakes behind it are left unseen. IN PROGRESS takes the opposite approach: rather than showing only completed work, it traces the evolution of architectural projects through the physical models that shaped them, embracing the unfinished as a vital part of the creative and learning process.

The exhibition itself will remain in progress throughout its life, growing and evolving across three stages to offer an honest snapshot of where each project has been, where it stands now, and where it is heading.

The opening evening will include a conversation hosted by the ECC Italy team, bringing together contributors and supporters to mark the launch of this new collaboration and discuss the role of modelmaking as a tool for architectural thinking, testing, and discovery.
