KM Housing Project Research Team/UdeM


Georgia Cardosi is an Italian architect, assistant professor at the school of architecture of the Université de Montréal and researcher at RESAUD-Alioune Badiane. She has set up an international architecture studio on low-cost housing and the KM Housing Project Research Team in collaboration with the Department of Architecture of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Ke), the McGill Department of Bioresource Engineering (Ca), and the Dipartimento di Architettura -department of excellence 2023-2027- of Università degli studi di Napoli Federico II (DiARC, It). The studio works with the Kaza Mwendo Housing cooperative whose members live in the Nairobi’s slum of Kibera. Low-cost housing is addressed through various topics including construction technologies and public spaces.
