María José Vasconcelos
María José Vasconcelos is a Mexican-Spanish architect and multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges space, image, and materiality. She studied architecture at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and earned a master’s in Visual Arts and Photography from Paris College of Art. Her practice spans installation, photography, and architecture, exploring identity, globalization, and memory’s relationship to space. Through site-specific interventions, crafted objects, and experimental photography, she examines the tension between permanence and transformation, the constructed and the organic. Her visual language references architecture, craftsmanship, and historical narratives, engaging with both physical and symbolic landscapes.
