Art and design are the source of his intuition and emotion, the driving force behind his creative activities, and he produces works that amaze his clients. He is always learning, always challenging himself to do new things, and expressing them through design. He pursues designs that combine surprise and splendour without being bound by constraints, obligations, or common sense. He mainly designs villas and residences in Japan and embodies new values that are born from the relationship between housing and society, architecture and nature. Recognizing the importance of a low-carbon society in earthquake-prone Japan, he has chosen wooden shafts for structural support and is exploring the possibility of using wood while ensuring earthquake resistance, from houses to large-scale buildings.
