Miriam Dunn Architect, University of Limerick

SAUL School of Architecture, University of Limerick, values ideas in the broadest possible sense, ideas that are underpinned by research and tested through action. SAUL encourages the boundaries of architecture to be explored and to consider multiple-relationships between matter, material and making. At SAUL, Miriam Dunn’s combined teaching, research and practice focuses this theme on the overlap of structure and architecture. Miriam is currently developing a design-led research approach centred on the development of Structure Prototypes that are tested and assessed by their physical and environmental attributes. Miriam’s research combines knowledge with experts in the field of engineering and the timber industry to explore material savings and innovative construction techniques.
