The Architectural Design & Research Institute of Zhejiang University (UAD)

Established in 1953, The Architectural Design & Research Institute of Zhejiang University (UAD) is one of China’s earliest Class-A design and research institutes affiliated with a national key university. With nearly 1,700 staff, UAD offers comprehensive services spanning architectural design, territorial spatial planning, municipal engineering design, geotechnical engineering, geological exploration, green building solutions, and cultural heritage conservation. Integrating design, technology, and research, UAD upholds the philosophy of “Sharing Value Through Design” and champions the academic theory of “Balanced Architecture.” To date, UAD has delivered over 10,000 projects across China and internationally, including notable works in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Venezuela, New Zealand, and Israel.
