VUILD

VUILD, founded in 2017 by Koki Akiyoshi, is an architecture-focused startup that promotes regional industry autonomy in Japan by introducing CNC milling machines to forestry areas. With over 250 installations, their EMARF platform connects these machines, enabling anyone to create furniture, interiors, and buildings using local wood. Beyond the platform, VUILD engages in diverse architectural projects, emphasizing construction methods, materials, and digital fabrication. By integrating design, manufacturing, and construction, they streamline the building process. Through a dual approach—expanding as both entrepreneurs and architects—VUILD merges technology, sustainability, and craftsmanship, driving a significant social impact.
