Ying Yi Chua
Ying Yi is an artist and professional photographer based in Singapore. He focuses on architectural and urban subjects, where he has images published in editorials including The Wall Street Journal, Wallpaper*, Phaidon and worked with various architects, real estate and financial firms. He holds a MA in Fine Arts and BA in Architecture. His interest lies in the exploration of the meaninglessness of images in relation to the saturation of images in our digital age . He focuses on time-based daily/yearly works with diverse themes ranging from the skies to intimate landscapes to urbanscapes. He is an avid vintage motorcyclist, and views the machine as an extension of his body that brings new perspectives of the urban landscapes through sights, smells and sounds that influences his artworks.
