Negin Moayer an architect and owner of BNMO Design in Chicago and Mania Taher a PhD candidate and adjunct lecturer with the UWM-SARUP, conducted a design studio in fall 2022 focused on exploring immigrant agencies via their creative placemaking in some of the established midwest American neighborhoods, despite distinct cultural and climatic differences, lack of social political power and their unheard voices in the architectural discourse.
