Programme
ArchNight in Palazzo Mora
18:00 – 21:00
Extended opening of the exhibition Time Space Existence
The exhibition presents a wide selection of projects by architects, designers, photographers and sculptors, as well as projects by academic institutions from more than 50 countries. This year the group show stands on the notion that our home, our surroundings, and our planet are under pressure, urging us to work together to explore a sustainable way forward.
Architecture as Musical Instrument
19:00 – 19:30
Sound performance by the Norwegian architect and sound artist Gisle Nataas
Gisle Nataas is an Oslo-based architect and sound artist, graduated from the Bergen School of Architecture and the Royal Danish Academy – Architecture – in Copenhagen.
He works with field recordings from architecture, presenting his sound projects through live performances and sound installations.
Field recordings are mixed, processed and transformed into new musical and spatial experiences, such as the “Architecture as Musical Instrument” project.
Choir
20:00 – 20:45
Live installation by Ivo Soligo with musics by Enrico Scriminich
Ivo Soligo, a young local artist, concentrates his artistic research on the creation of grotesque, archaic, alchemical and mythological images. His works are based on the desire to bring back to the contemporary an enigmatic allegory which allows the viewer to recreate his personal interpretation, starting from the assumption that the destruction of myths, monsters and heroes has deprived man of his archetypes.
On the occasion of Art Night, Ivo Soligo will present a work made up of twelve masks in silver polyurethane, simulating the arrangement of a choir, and will be accompanied by music compositions of Enrico Scriminich.
