Adele Naudé Santos

Adele Naudé Santos is Professor Emeritus at the School of Architecture and Planning at MIT. She has degrees in Architecture, Urban Design, and City Planning. Her practice has addressed affordable housing and urban design in the United States and internationally––in South Africa, China, Japan, and Chile. Her teaching and research have informed her where her practice takes place, beginning in Cape Town and traveling to Philadelphia, California, and Boston. Adele has used the format of the workshop to explore architectural and planning issues in context with her students, weaving pedagogy and practice together throughout her career.
