David Prendergast Architect


David Prendergast is an award-winning architect based in New York City, dedicated to design in the public realm. A graduate of Cornell College of Architecture, he has distinguished himself with numerous municipal and cultural projects including PS1 Contemporary Art Center, the Kingsbridge Branch Library and Engine Company 10 in the World Trade Center. His studio was one of the selected firms in Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s esteemed Design Excellence Initiative. His honors include Design Excellence awards from the New York City Arts Commission for the Kingsbridge Branch Library and from the Staten Island A.I.A. for the Staten Island Children’s Museum. Prendergast is devoted to excellence in architecture and to the proposition that thoughtful design can be a powerful positive force for people and the cities they live in.
