The ViBE Lab creates design knowledge that builds upon values that are consistent with the development of meaningful and sustainable 21st-century communities. The transdisciplinary work joins quantitative and qualitative approaches to design to better understand and imagine the future of our built world. In collaboration with the Harvard Center for Green Buildings and Cities and Amsterdam-based M21D, the ViBE Lab seeks to understand and explore a future for sustainable architecture in which human, digital, and biological inhabitants interact in relationships mediated by both data and care.
