Almost Studio + Nanette Carter

Almost Studio is a New York City-based design practice established in 2018. Their approach considers a project as one that continually reveals unknown cultural, social, and spatial potential as time passes – in other words, always almost. This has led to several recent acknowledgments, including selection to the inaugural class of The Architect’s Newspaper Twenty to Watch in 2025 – recognizing rising residential architecture design – as well as being named AN Interior Top 50 North American Architect and Designer in 2024.
Nanette Carter was born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1954. She is best known for her Mylar collages. She has shown internationally and lives in New York City.
